Ok i tryed the size and you got the 320 right but 240 is to tall i went to change background and theres still some parts chopped off

Wait... now that i think about it the size it fits is the size with the taskbar and all is what your saying :) so i think this will work ill just have to remember the taskbar takes up a space or 2

that's it all right, I'm not sure what the height minus the menu bar is I'm afraid.

Ok i gave 230 a try it looks better IMO, but still not as clear as i made it in Photoshop

Here is the one i made, and on the home screen the text shows a little bit blurry, and im abit of a perfectionist =p

i tryed 204 and still that blurry idk if its much different from the other one but idk why couldnt they just make it easy? =p

The frustratingly easy yet boring way would be to take a screen shot of your device and COUNT the number of pixels the bars take up then subtract both from 240 :)

just wondering, you are putting the width and height values into your XML code? I know if you don't the image doesn't appear correctly.

Naw im not that advanced in it yet... this is my 1st Smartphone so trying to learn the basics =) Do you have any themes? or know where i could get some? or any tutorial on how to make them?

Have a look at the download section here at modaco. You can open the xml file in notepad to see whats going on

Alternativly there are apps that can do the codeing for you, makes life alot easier :D

Ok i found a program i wanna install how would i go about doing that? its a _setup.xml

Yeah the moto Q just refers to landscape screens. Should work fine for the dash, Q and blackjack etc.

Just copy the files into the

Application Data/ Home

folder and select the screen through

settings/ home screen

That should do the trick. Let us know if you run into problems

When i goto copy the files it doesnt see the files in the program im using... i just extracted to a folder i made on the desktop but for some reason all the files arent showing up in the folder... and i know i put them all in there :)

what homescreen did you try? one from Modaco?
