Guest wassim Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 I can't believe that in this day and age, Word Mobile does not support passwords! I have (large) Word files that are fairly confidential and can't feel safe having them on my phone for fear that some random user will read them. Yes I do use a PIN for my phone, but 1) Sometimes people want to look at my phone, so I have to unlock it. Not that I don't trust them, I just don't want them stumbling into stuff they shouldn't be reading. 2) I would like to put those files on my MiniSD memory card... in which case the phone's password lock wouldn't be enough to keep anyone from taking the card out and plugging it into any USB reader. Do any of you know of a Word-type program that supports passwords? Something that can handle fairly large files (75000 characters)? Free would be better. Thank you, WASSIM
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 I don't know of a Word app, but what about a password protected ZIP file?
Guest wassim Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 I don't know of a Word app, but what about a password protected ZIP file? Not really... I want to be able to edit them on my PocketPC! If it's not Word, I'll take anything, that takes notes or any text, just text. The important thing is the password protection. Thanks, WASSIM
Guest wassim Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Actually found something - It's called (appropriately enough) SecureWord Mobile, and it's Freeware! I haven't downloaded it yet as I'm at work now, but looks promising. Does anybody know anything about it?? Thanks, WASSIM
