using p990i as WIFI modem for laptop

Is it possible to use the p990i as a modem via WIFI?

I want the phone connected to laptop (no wifi) and to connect to WIFI hotspots.

I cannot find any help on this.... Is it poss? if so how?

The P990i is a Symbian phone, whereas this is a Windows Mobile forum, so you may not get much response here.
