Guest MalcolmS Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 I've noticed since getting my repaired Orange SPV M3100 back there are certain parts of Orange World I cannot access (via GPRS). For example when i try and download a video I get... Orange World Download Error we were unable to identify the phone number from which you were calling from please come back later Also I don't seem to have access to my favourites etc on "Your Page" any more. When I try and add some new favourites I get this message... Sorry this service is not available at the moment as we cannot identify the phone number you are using. Please try again later. Trying later doesn't help. Malcolm

Malcolm It certainly was (and probably still is) a known issue with phones that use Pocket IE/WM5 that you need to be using the oreangeinternet APN rather than the orangewap apn. It should not affect allowance usage which one you use (at least it made no difference to me on OWU).
Guest T39andcounting Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 I had the same issue... couldn't use the My Page function or download stuff. i called support and they got me to try the following address: http://wap.orange.co.uk/transform/ this should show your mobile number, etc, but if it doesn't it means your not connecting correctly. they got me to go settings connections connections advanced select networks under Orange World select edit there should be 2 entries, delete the one that isn't Orange GPRS WAP edit next make sure that the access point name is ORANGEINTERNET Then save changes this should resolve the issue, but I'm not sure what else it might break! i havn't noticed any issues since, but beware!
Guest MalcolmS Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 Many thanks - that worked fine for me! I wasn't able to delete the non Orange GPRS WAP entry but was able to make all the other changes and WAP's working fine for me now. Thanks. :) Malcolm
