M3100 & Screen Saver (with TomTom)

When using my phone with TomTom, the screen saver kicks in and I have to enter my pin to unlock it. When I had an SPV-C500 running TomTom, it didn't lock out the screen. Has anyone got any ideas as to how to get round this? I've checked the TomTom software, but can't anything, so I'm guessing it's a registry change.
