Guest skanna Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 I was searching the forums for a WiFi toggle and came across this link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic....p=298736#298736 This software has nothing to do with me and can be found at the above site. You will need to register to download the program, and it works a treat. You get a WiFi toggle, which is handy in itself, and other toggles are available, such as GPRS, IR, and Audiogateway. All are working on the SP5. And if you have a MRU on your homescreen, they can be selected directly from the homescreen like any other shortcut. therefore you can turn on Wifi with one action from the homescreen instead of going to the Comms Manager, and then turning on Wifi. Similarly it can be turned off just as easily. Alternatively you can assign a speed-dial to each toggle. Couldnt get the icons sorted out, and i had to use the icons stored on the device. Anyway the program is really good. I have had a simple bluetooth toggle installed on all my phones since my E200 days, assigned to key 3. Now i have a Wifi toggle on key 8!

Guest skanna Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Hey, that link doesn't work. But it sounds really really great, could you please post a working link? thanks This is the Modaco link. Look for the post by Vijay555. There is the actual link to this guy's site. I dont want to upload the program as it belongs to him. http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=99493&st=60 I actually download the PPC version first and tried it on my Dell Axim and it worked. This was a cab file, which also created shortcuts and placed the .exe file in a particular folder on the PDA.Then tried the smartphone version, which has no intructions. Placed the downloaded .exe file on the phone in the same folder path as the pda, and so I could use the same shortcuts. These were then copied from the pda to the start menu of the SP5. It all worked. If you need the shortcuts I will upload them for you. I have managed to use some of the icons from the rom for the different functions.
