Guest Transform Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 I have a GPS reciever which came with an in car charger. The actual wire that plugs into the charger is the same sort of wire that I would use to connect my phone to my computer and can be disconnected from the part that goes into the cigarette lighter. When I try to charge my phone up on it, it doesn't charge. I tried to change the wire that was given to me with the GPS reciever with the wire that I use to change my computer but still no charge. Do you think that the part that plugs into the lighter is not powerful enough to change a phone?
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Sounds like the pins are not configured for your phone. I use a similar split lead that came with co-pilot and it charges the phone without a problem.
Guest Transform Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 so if i were to buy an in car c500 charger, would it be safe to charge my gps reciever on it too? also, a while back i was told to speak to someone called 'fluffcat' or something like that about c500 silver case replacements. i cant pm him because his inbox is full! my * button on my c500 hardly works now and i have to push it in pretty hard to make it work. i think its because of the way the case is bent around the button. i would even settle for another black case if i have to but i want to try and get an official orange one. is this possible?
