FinalBurn, runable but not loadable?

Hi

I've installed FinalBurn on my phone

it starts fine but i just could load any of the neogeo roms

I followed the instruction to put the neogeo.zip(bios) into the rom directory

it didn't work

I've also tried extracting it into the same directory as well but it didn't work>"<

The rom that i tried to play was Metal Slug 2

I've put both zipped(mslug2.zip) and non-zipped in the folder

but neither worked

it says i required xxxxxxx.bin

can't remember wat it was>"<

u sure its the correct neogeo bios? did u get the one mentioned in the finalburn topic? page 1 or 2 i think it was on.

u just add the neogeo.zip into ur roms folder zipped up. from there all of your neogeo roms should appear. wat phone are u using?

now its really weird

I've put a mega man.zip in the rom folder

when i pressed rescan, nothing showed up,

but when i go down the list and clicked on megaman, it started creating the cache thing>"<

THere are alot of different romfiles for neogeo games out there...

maybe you got one thats not working because of missing or wrong named files inside the zipfile.

no i had not heard of that phone but i just looked at it now and it has WM3 and a 176 x 220 screen. that may by the reason why its not working, but then again the MPx220 works with this i think.

and yes ur roms need to be zipped.

so i really dont know why its not workin for u, and that is weird with the roms not appearings when u scan for them

hmm i seem to have the same problem, i get the same error, or atleast somethings like that, for metal slug 3 says im missing rom file 201-p1.bin and for king of fighters 2002 says rome file 262-p1p.bin, could it just be my roms, i downloaded them from coolrom.com so im not sure and i have a tmobile wing

It's probably an issue with the bios (neogeo.zip) file. You need a particular version, which seems to be reasonably difficult to find on the web. I had the same problem--neo geo games run fine on my desktop, but no on the smartphone. Once I found the correct bios, it worked like a charm. Check the original Final Burn thread and make sure your bios files match those listed there.
