The USB driver works just fine in Vista - all you need to install is ActiveSync, which has been renamed to "Windows Mobile Device Center" :) Download it from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter.mspx then install it, then connect your device. That's all you need to do :D

Guest Nomgle Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Ah, you're referring specifically to the Modem Functionality :) I haven't tried that myself, but everything else works great in the new Mobile Device Center.

Guest CryBayBee Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 (edited) I had an email from HTC today to say that they are still waiting for the developers to release drivers for the Hermes/Vario so that it can operate as a wireless modem on Windows Vista. :D :( They still do not have a date for when this will be available ;) , but said that models not affected by this issue are the P3300, P3600, P4350 and any future releases! If anyone has managed to find a workaround in the meantime to get the Vario II to work as a modem I would be very grateful! All other aspects like synching with Outlook through Windows Device Center works lovely. No complaints about that - just can't use the modem! Ta! Edited April 12, 2007 by CryBayBee
