02 Exec Warranty?

Hi,

I've got an 02 Exec version of the Universal on the 02 Network.

I've been having problems with the phone switching off at around 50% battery charge, which is detailed elsewhere in these forums. I've ordered a new battery (which hasn't arrived yet). Just in case it isn't the battery, I phoned 02 (totally useless, I urge anyone not to think about going with them) and asked about how long the warranty is. They told me it is only one year. I've had the Exec now for approx 18 months and was under the impression that it comes with 2 years warranty and not a year.

Could anyone possibly let me know how long the warranty on the Exec is.

TIA

Right folks, I received the new battery and it now switches of at 10% charge with the new battery. Is this normal or should it go all the way down to 0% before it switches off?

The reason I ask is because I had the old battery so long and had it switching off at 50% charge that I can't remember at what level of charge it used to switch off when my Exec was new. I need to know if it's normal to switch off at 10% or not. Because if it isn't I need to get it back to the 02 shop sharpess to get it repaired if it's not the battery at fault.

Can anyone confirm if the warranty period on the Exec is 12 or 24 months.

TIA

I know Nokia's come with two years. It may be worth contacting HTC to ask them. Slip in how disappointed you are that their product hasn't lasted long. And give o2 a wide berth in future :)

My Mda Pro came with a 2 year warraty courtesy of HTC but the cs staff at the mobile phon co's need to be prompted into looking these answers up rather than just saying the first thing that comes into their head.

I had the same battery problem, and now my battery gives in at 12%. That is good enough for me as I try not to let it get down to below 20%
