Explanation of RAM and ROM

Note: The memory sizes were taken from a brand new US SDA, fresh boot up, app and sim unlocked, nothing else installed.

I wasn't able to get a definite answer from this thread, so I did some research, and after reading this blog and this blog from MSDN's site, I have a better knowlege of how RAM and ROM works on our WM5 smartphones. Please ignore any speculations made in the other thread, I have made my own diagram that explains it more accurately, it is attached to this post.

The blue boxes corresponds to the memory information that is shown under the phone's System Info. IT IS JUST A COINCIDENCE THAT 19.94MB + 45.06MB = 65.00MB, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME MEMORY. I am uncertain of what's being installed/running in the red boxes. Maybe someone else can comment on that.

Can the mod pin this thread? I am sure there are tons of customers thinking they've been cheated by the missing RAMs and ROMs. It's not missing, it's just hidden to do other things.
