Guest veef13 Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 (edited) hi all... currently have a sp5 and pretty happy with it... but, renewal is due in the next few months, so I was wondering if anyone knows if a smartphone is coming out with gps built in? the bluetooth gps works fine, but a all in one unit would be nice... to me thats all thats missing on the sp5, well that and a bit of memory :) and things like the spl don't have wifi.... would appreciate any feedback/knowledge anyone has as i dont really wanna return to PDAs and thats the only option at the mo with inbuilt gps... cheerio edit: nuts... this was supposed be be in smartphone main... pls move modz Edited February 8, 2007 by veef13
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 No Smartphones with GPS that I know of. The only new Smartphones at the moment are the 3G O2 Graphite (due out this month I think) and the HTC Vox (some months away) - neither of which have GPS. The O2 XDA Orbit springs to mind for a PosketPC with GPS, but there are other (variants?) on other networks.

Guest rpb Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Anyone have any info on when the Erato might be released in the UK? The pictures I have seen so far look pretty ugly but it is the only handset that has all the features I am looking for, unless anyone knows of any other forthcoming flip / clamshell types running windows mobile?
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 I know it's a dirty word round here, but i'm waiting to see what the Nokia 95 is like when that finally surfaces. I'm not sure whether I could defect and leave MS Mobile and go back to Nokia though
Guest dishe Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 The erato would be nice... I can't seem to find anything to upgrade to from Sp5. Had an Excaliber for a while (T-mobile Dash), but i realized that I downright HATE qwerty on smartphone. The os is designed to be quickly navigated with 9 keys, and having a whole keypad just cramps things, so i'm going back to the tornado. I'm looking forward to the Erato or the Vox... I know the vox is coming soon, has the Erato been scrapped?
Guest conan_troutman Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 I Mate Ultimate I like the 9150 its almost perfection in a handset check it out here http://www.gsmarena.com/i_mate-phones-35.php

Also - no GPS, which I think the Erato has. At least the 9150 looks like it might get released. The Erato seems to have dropped off the radar! Are there any other flip style windows mobile smartphones out there, other than the 8500?
