Guest Posh johnny Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Do any of your smart folk on here know if it is possible to charge your phone whilst listening to Sat Nav/Music I want to connect my M3100 to my motorbike and have it navigate all day without worring about the battery, all bluetooth headsets that have sufficient talktime are too bulky to fit under my lid, so I want to go the wired route for headphones, hence the need to charge and listen simultaneously. Any advice greatly appreciated
Guest Posh johnny Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 I assume that it can't be done then, I am chosing a different route and am awaiting delivery of 2 extended life batteries off ebay, has anyone any experience of these? I really do not want to get stuck in the wilderness. A definate design flaw I think

Any advice greatly appreciated You could try expansys website (http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?partner=modaco&i=140425) Extract from description: " Description A dual function Y-cable (11pin to 5pin + 6pin), of which the 5pin (mini USB jack) is for charging/sync, and 6pin (ext USB jack) is for HTC's stereo headsets. Note: Headset must have a 'left angled' or 'straight through' plug rather than right-angled if used at the same time in the Y Cable with the power cable. See your device accessory listings for suitable headsets."

Any advice greatly appreciated You can get buletooth headsets for bike helmets. But I am trying out using a sony ericson HBH-200 headset plumbed into My autocom system. So far so good. Can make and recive calls. Not tried listening to music or the sat nav yet as the main plan was to be able to use My k750i on the bike for calls. Next step is the SPV550 with tomtom running to see if that works. Edited March 12, 2007 by Rhino196
Guest Murdoc187 Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 Try doing a google for Scala Rider.... Costs about £80 but works beautifully, I've used it with 2 nokia's and the M3100 without a problem.
