Guest Confucious Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 Mt father has just bought a TomTom and goes caravaning (I know - but I believe it's not hereditary!) and when he goes on rallys they give the location as a landranger (an OS map type) map ref eg 185/357210 - the first 3 digits being the map number and the next 6 the easting and northing I have found a site where you can convert "proper" OS references (eg TQ357210) to lat/lon but the landranger map numbers don't seem to correspond to the 2 digit letters. Is there a way of translating landranger refs into a format he can enter into his TomTom to ind where he's going? Cheers
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 You could try OSGBConverter from PocketGPS World http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?...load&cid=22
Guest Confucious Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 Thanks Ash - but that only converts from "proper" OS references (eg TQ357210) - not the landranger map references all the caravan rally details are given in :)
