I-mate SP3i

i have recently bought an i mate sp3i smartphone and have found it quite disgusting. i bought this phone thinking that i will be able to do a host of good tasks on this phone but was quite dissapointed to find hardly any supported software or game applications (free , as we do have for other mobile phones like nokia).

i couldnt play a simple 3gp video, couldnt play java games ( though i managed to install them as advised in phone manual, copyin and pasting both .jad and .jar files and installing the game usin java application, but wenever i tried playin it, got the message sayin 'unable to play midlet' ).

also to my surprize i wasnt not able to read even a simple office word file ( though the conversion to pocket word file did took place). is there any site or place where i can get softwares enabling me to do all my tasks.

is there anyway i can change the operating system of my phone to win mob 2005 ( from current win mob 2003 (se) )?????

i am new to this site and will be immensely greatful to anyone who could help me out

There are hundreds of games and applications for your device but most are not free.

As for playing java games you should try the games written specifically for the phone as they are far better.

The phone can display Word files etc but you need a third party application like ClearVue Suite http://www.westtek.com/smartphone/

As for changing the OS there is no official release of WM5 for your phone so legally you can not upgrade to WM5
