Internet Explorer Shutting down for no reason!

For some strange reason lately, everytime I try to log in to my Hotmail on my PPC, IE just shuts down.

It browses everything else fine but just will not let me log in to Hotmail. I've used it loads of time in the past so have no idea why its just started happening, haven't installed anything new at all.

Has anybody else had this problem? I know most will suggest a hard reset but I really don't want to do that :)

Anybody have any advice?

I have been seeing this as well with a few sites. ebay is one. Do you have pie plus installed?

I'm only using the Internet software that came with it so am unsure. Mite try getting the Opera browswer and seeing if thats any better.

I've had this when I press 'back' with PIE Plus (at least as far as I can work out that's what's causing it).

I take it no one's actually figured out why this is happening yet then? I installed Opera and MSN works perfect. The problem is I don't really want to fork out whatever the equivalent of $60 is to buy it when the phone comes with the necessary software anyway.

Does anybody know of any other kind of Internet software thats free for PPCs?

I've noticed this happening also. It seems to be when ie goes into a secure connection (i.e. when you sign into hotmail or ebay). You could try installing minimo, whixh is a mini version of mozilla its got some quite nifty features such as tabbed browsing which means that it handles websites with popups, although its not as nice to use as ie.

Do you have WLM installed? My Hermes has been doing the same since I installed it.

I've been getting this with with ebay, and it's a real pain.

I didn't use to have this problem, and I'm sure I was okay even after I added PIE plus.

If anybody has a solution I'd be grateful - ebaymobile is worse than useless.

I had the same problem a while ago and someone mentioned it was caused by the M:Meter software which I had installed. Do any of you have it on your PPC

I have a vague memory that deleting cookies and internet history sorted it... but I might be confused!
