Vodafone VPA 1640 MAss Delete Contacts

Hi

My Outlook Contacts folder recently got polluted with 4000 contacts from my IT department...they made a mistake with Exchange...unfortuately my VPA 1640 (aka Qtek 9000) now has 4000+ contacts in and works like a limping dog!!!

It will now not synchronise wiht Exchange at all so i cannot delete them from the PC...does anyone know how to mass delete contacts on the device itself? Any ideas? Help...

Can you change your profile to sync contacts with your local machine rather than Excgangethen over write the 4000+ comntacts on your phione with the 0 contacts on your local PC? That would be the first thing i'd try - let us know if it works.
