Guest JPo_23 Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 I'm travelling around the world soon and would like to set up an exchange account so that I can backup my calendar and contacts from my M3100 while I'm on the move, in case it gets lost or stolen. I would also, ideally, like to be able to access this information via the web in Internet Cafe's etc... Can anyone reccomend a provider for this?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Check out 4smartphone... I use them and they're great! P
Guest JPo_23 Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Looks good, got it set up already. Suprised you don't have a referral program!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 We do, I always feel a bit wary of giving advice and including affiliate links tho! :) P
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 I've been having problems with Outlook hanging recently, which (for no good reason TBH) I'm putting down to a slow response from teh 1&1 service. I was thinking about switching to 4Smartphone when my 6 months with 1&1 is up, but it's a lot of effort... we'll see
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 I found switching to 4Smartphon easy. Save PST, change to new provider, import PST :) P
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Yeah, the moving of the domain name was what I dreaded - it's taken ages when I've done it before, and I can't afford to be "offline" for that long nowadays!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Who's the actual domain hosted with? I moved without moving my domain host, I just repointed the MX record and that only takes as long as a DNS update (not long!) P
