Guest Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 Can any one advise on how to remove the M3100 from the default carry case without starting messaging or IE? Please don't bother with sarcastic replies. My problem is based around the fact that removing the M3100 to answer a call always (at least for me) triggers either messaging or IE or both, because the top buttons catch on the carry case. Any sensible advice would be welcome. Thanks for none sarcastic advice in advance.
Guest mosschops Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 I open the magnetic flap and then push the phone through from the opening on the other side - seems to do the trick and works in your hand or when clipped to your belt. Also if you set your device to key lock and/or pin lock, when it rings only the answer softkey and hardkey will work. To use anything else you have to switch on with power button first.

Thanks mosschops! That's the advice I was looking for. btw when you refer to the key lock can I use that without setting a pin on the M3100?

Yep - if you go into Settings, click on the system tab and go into Key lock you can chose to lock all buttons except power button when device is off.

Thanks for the help though mosschops! :)

Thanks for the help though mosschops! :) Thats odd - I checked it on my Vario II and this is ok! Maybe try the pin lock and see if that makes any difference (you dont have to put the pin in to answer calls - or just push it out of the case the same way I do!
