o2 xda mini s

Hi all,

Firstly as i am new to this i'd like to say hi and thanks in advance for any help given.

I have an o2 xda mini s which ive had for about a year. problem is that when trying to sync to active sync on my windows xp machine i can create the partner ship but cannot chose active sync 'partnership settings'. i have also noticed that i no longer can chose an outgoing comm port, and when it does find a port on my computer it's either 27 or 28 (ppernetly the port number must be under 20). apologies if this post is a little long for my 1t post but ive exhausted every avenue and don't know what to do now.I've done soft/hard rests and instald the latest rom build. any help woud be greatly appreciated.
