Guest mish78 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 Does anyone know a good way of removing the top and bottom task bars in wm5 ( the calendar / contacts and start, signal, batt ect barr on the top ). I basically would like the today screen to just be blank or have sms ect on it but no top or bottom bars ( like the iphone ) . it would even be nice to make them transparent. I have even looked at installing a version of linux on it just to see what it would look like. Any ideas?? The phone must be capable of doing it via the registry or somthing but its not the easiest thing to figure out. i have a spvm600 ( htc prophet ) . I also would like to change the today font. tried ppc tweak but after 3 attempts i had to flash the phone as my trial ended. thanks in advance if any one has any ideas..
Guest mandt Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 (edited) There's an app to toggle the top and bottom bars here:http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=205413&st=20 15 posts down Edited February 15, 2007 by mandt
Guest mandt Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 Hit 'add reply' too early :) To change the font is quite simple if you dont mind editing the registry, Copy your chosen font into \Windows\Fonts With your chosen registry editor navigate to: HKLM\System\GDI\SYSFNT and change the Nm string from Tahoma to the new font title Reboot to see the changes NOTE: For some reason the Softkey font doesnt change, Dunno why, I changed every single font registry key once and the damn softkeys always display Tahoma, but then again if you're gonna hide your bars I suppose it doesn't matter
Guest mish78 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 awsome. have to say im impressed. I didnt think it would be that easy. just need to figure out how to get the top bar away now. Guest mandt Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Regarding VJToggle I hadn't actually tried it before, having done so it seems a bit hit and miss in its operation. Here is the last released version of the app:vjtoggletodayii.zip which works properly there's an extensive thread on it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=243211 Now you can really get the iPhone look!!
