Guest dolomite33 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 I have had my Dash for about 3 weeks, love it. It was able to connect to the internet and browse webpages fine the first 2 weeks. Over the last week everytime I try to access a webpage I receive the following error: "The remote party has ended this connection". I am connected, and have tired connecting to different access points ... none work ... all get the same error message. I tried rebooting, and I tried the "Clear Storage" under Accessories ... neither worked ... please help!

Updating this access point sorted out my problems. Ok, I think I have the solution. In the Device Temp folder are the original install files. Just reinstall all of them one by one. I don;t know which one fixed the problem. But after reinstalling the various programs including blackberry connect the phone rebooted and set up some networking wizard on. After that I could connect. Checked before was getting IP of 192.168.0.2 After reinstall IP was 192.168.1.2 which matched my settings in the office.

Guest mcdata Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 I have had my Dash for about 3 weeks, love it. It was able to connect to the internet and browse webpages fine the first 2 weeks. I am connected, and have tired connecting to different access points ... none work ... all get the same error message. I tried rebooting, and I tried the "Clear Storage" under Accessories ... neither worked ... please help! My internet was working fine. I then called cingular and removed my internet data plan from the service. I thought I would be on a usage only charge. I then started receiving the same error message you mention. I called Cingular again and was told that without a data plan, there was no internet service. I added back the minimum plan and the problem went away.
