Guest melino Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 I have paired my Holux GPSlim 236 with my O2 XDA Phone and added incoming and outgoing com ports (6+7) But TomTom 5.2 as well as Route 66 doesn't find the GPS Device. I have tried every settings in these applications I have tried the GPS Mouse on my MPDA Pro and it works well. I even have done a test on my O2 XDA Phone with another device (Xaiox) but it's still the same. What's wrong?
Guest nehvada Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 try the following: got to connctions/bluetooth/(paired)devices, highlight (mark) the gps, menu -> (2) and mark as [X]"serial port" 2nd: start tomtom -> settings -> gps status -> configuration(?) -> choose "other gps" -> finnish good luck!
Guest melino Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 I already did this a hundred times... :-(
Guest Revenge Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 I already did this a hundred times... :-( I was with the same problem. Until one day i read in the net one person sayong that tomtom for smarthphone have a problem, if o open TomTom for more than one minute without and GPS, then it will never find an GPS again. So what i did was, HardReset to my Qtek 8010. Intalled TomTom again. I configured my smartphone, choose port 6+7. Paired the phone with the gps device. I haven't change the name of the Holux 236. Then i opened TomTom, and choose other gps device. And it worked... Note: If for example, i pass a long tunnel and lost GPS signal for more than one minute, i close tomtom before that happen, or i will need to hard reset my phone again :)
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 It seems a few people have problems with the Holux 236Slim models. This seems to be how I got my C600 working wth Route66. Which would not pick up the GPS receiver no matter how I tried. Yes, I added it as a com port too. I also tried using Autoroute on the PC with my bluetooth adapter and that would not connect to the GPS receiver at all, until I changed a setting in the GPS receiver. http://www.modaco.com/C600-Route-66-and-GP...ms-t251789.html
Guest melino Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 After dismanteling my GPS to reset it (http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=44809) it worked for some minutes but was disconnected again. Dismanteling it again did have the same result as the first time and the third time. So it just has a slack joint and I will let it be changed by nav4all.

(nimm ne royaltek RBT-2010, gibt nix besseres :) )
