Retrieve Data From Broken Phone

Recommended Posts

I have a Cingular 2125 that gives me only a white screen at boot up. All my contacts were on the phone and not the SIM. Is there anything I can do myself? Any people or services that can retrieve my contacts?

Thank you

If the phone itself is actually working and its just the screen thats failed, try plugging it into your pc with the supplied USB lead and see if activesync will work?

I was going to replace the LCD myself but when I power it on I cannot receive any incomming calls. I also tryed to remember the sequence of keys to press to unlock it and make calls. Either I did not press the keys in the right order or exceeded my allowed attempts and it locked up. I have a feeling that it's just broken and cannot receive or make calls. I'll still try to access it with Activesync.

I haven't used Activesync before. Is there anything that has to be done on the phone side to start the program?

Thanks again for any help!

You usually just need to enter the pin code on the pc to commence the partnership. But make sure you set it to keep the records from the phone!

Are you seriously saying you have a WM device and you have never sync'd it?

Yes-Seriously. Without getting deeping into our business situation, I basically bought the 2125 with anticipation of using it as a Smartphone, but with our extremly busy season, I have not had the time to fully use all it's features, except for manually inputting about 30 contacts. I anticipated sync'ing it wit ACT 2007 so all our contacts would be entered.
