Help please!

I did a hard reset on my MPx200 and now I can't decert it. I have done this many times before and it is just not working now.

Just to confirm: The "go to the Orange developer site" doesn't work; the "run Orange register, then visit the Orange developer site" doesn't work, and the "fill in the form on the French Orange site and use the CAB file they email you" doesn't work. For this last one, I got the CAB file, but my phone won't let me install it - oh, the irony.

I tried another hard reset, but the problem has persisted. Any ideas? This is really frustrating.

As it goes, I have since ordered an M600 - despite the price tag in the shop for mid-range users, Orange can be pushed to do a *very* good deal on phone and contract, I found, what with the M700 now out. Though I'm wondering if I should have pushed / held out a bit for the M700 - sigh - but it's that kind of thinking that stops me ever upgrading, month after month.

Anyway, I would like a fully-functioning back-up phone, if anyone has a suggestion I would be very grateful.

The MPx200 has always been a tricky phone to unlock, usually because there were various revisions to the firmware.

Try searching the forum using the keyword 'alphaflux' - although the method was rendered obsolete you will get plenty of alternative methods to try.

I have to caution you not to rely too much on the MPx200 as a backup as they all seem to be biting the dust these days ;)
