Trying to set up C600 to sync with Windows Mobile Device Center.

I've set up the phone by both usb and bluetooth, and get the same error message with both.

The c600 connects and I can see folders files, etc on phone, but can't get it to sync with Outlook 2007 to get calendar and contacts.

Message is "ActiveSync encountered a problem on the desktop", with error code 0x85010014

Grateful for any ideas as this is the final part of moving from XP to Vista

Regards,

Rannoch

Would I be right in thinking you upgraded to Outlook 2007 from Outlook 2003?

Thats a server error. Are you syncing via a Vista PC to an exchange server - cos if so, you probably need the address of the proxy server in front of the exchange server.

Sorry about the "extra" replies above - don't know what happened

It's a completely new build of Outlook 2007 - not an upgrade from Outlook 2003. I did use the Outlook 2003 PST files which picks up the mails, calendar, and contacts.

I'm not syncing using Exchange.

I copied the Outlook pst file to another drive, set up Outlook 2007 on a laptop linked to the copied pst file. Then plugged the c600 into the laptop and it syned no trouble.

It must be the desktop, but what I don't know.

Rannoch

Fixed.

Uninstalled Office 2007 (can't uninstall only Outlook 2007).

Re-installed, and all OK.
