Cingular Text Messaging failures

Hello

I have had a MPX200 for nearly 3 years. This was purchased under the AT&T brand before Cingular bought them and then renamed themselves AT&T.

In October I started having problems sending text messages to family members on non-Cingular networks (Verizon and T-Mobile). The message would be sent from my phone, but never received. I have called Cingular several times, escalated it to level 2 support, and they come back and say it must be the other carrier. I don't believe it for a minute. Has anyone had the same problem OR has anyone had the problem and had the problem solved????

Ive had that before

Sent to my dad(same network as me) and he never gets them. I actually put the phone right next to each other and sent it - nothing.

Finally upgraded service, then finally worked.
