Guest airrush Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Hi please help me Only just rejoined this world after being away from using a smartphone / pocket pc product. I have tried to install the Smart Explorer cab to my M3100 I followed the instructions given but every time i tap on it in programmes it just reinstalls itself???? it said on the site that it would delete the cab install file? I know it's originaly for an older platform but it states on the download site that its ok for wm5 I used it on my original spv e100 many moons ago and it was an great asset to the smartphone programme... This is the similar issue for my texts and rings tones (a previous post but no answer) Im just not sure even after following instructions where to install the programmes / ring tones / text tones. What am i doing wrong ;) Is there a link i can find all the answers to my questions.. Thanking you all in advance Regards Andy
Guest influenz Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Hi.. I'm now a m3100 user too, having previously had smartphones I've been a fan of Smart Explorer! I'd not tried getting it for the PPC yet as the new native File Explorer in wm5 is a vast improvement on previous versions imho. Saying that I've just tried out Smart Explorer and appear to be having more luck than you! You didn't mention where you downloaded it or what version you tried but I just went here and downloaded the .cab link at the top of the page, copied it to my phone (also a .exe install here), installed it ok. The interface doesn't appear to be designed for pocketpc but the functionality seems to be there. If you are still having problems then make sure you are copying the cab to any folder, finding it and running it via the native file explorer then running it from the programs menu.. Good luck ;-]
