Emails forward as rfc-822 data after Vario reset

After recently giving my Vario a hard reset, whenver I forward an email it's forwarded as an empty message with an RFC-822 format attachment, which doesn't seem to be possible (or at least easy) to open in a Mac, but will open in Outlook Express, for example. Previously, all my emails forwarded as plain text. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
