Guest wengsan Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Hi, I managed to set up the PC and phone to access internet using the web n walk, thanks to all who contributed on http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=245798 Just a bit puzzled, as I could only connect at 921.6k...it's not bad but fact is, should be able to connect at 1.5M+ as some mentioned in the above post. I've checked from the PC, under the modem properties that the highest speed I could get is 921.6k (default was about 230k). Is there another driver to use? Or is there something I missed? Have asked customer service to enable HSDPA. FYI, I used the driver that came with the mda vario package, size 51k dated 28/6/06... Plssss advise? Thanks.
Guest Confucious Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Which network are you on? Speed will vary depending on reception, number of people using the service etc. Someone in that thread said they got over 1Mb but cann't see anyone claiming 1.5Mb!
Guest wengsan Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Am on t-mobile, service strength usually 2-3bars... and, correction: not really 1.5M+ but "speedtest show just under 1.5Mbps so am quite pleased" ;)

Guest jimbouk Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 HSDPA is being upgraded and improved all the time. The networks claim that in a couple of years, we will enjoy speeds of 3.6, 7.2 plus. In the meantime, I would be very happy with approx 1 mb!
