Doesn't actually fix the problem though does it? It is a memory resident program that intercetps all key presses and processes them before handing it on. I have no doubt some enterprising soul could write an equivalent program if they felt compelled to do so. To actually 'fix' it a new driver would need to be written. HTC were aware of the issue so if the new driver doesn't appear on more recent ROMs I would think they have no intention of doing anything about it.
