Guest mstephenson Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Hey all, Firstly apologies if this question has already been asked somewhere on here (I have had a look around but i'm currently stuck on a dial-up modem which takes forever to load each page!). Anyways, I have an i-mate SPL which in many ways I love, but the stupidly slow speed is a major annoyance, compounded by the fact that i-mate, in all there wisdom, removed the task manager so it's basically impossible to properly close any applications. Once you've opened a few things (MSN, IE, Picture Viewer etc) the thing begins to grind to a halt and the only way to get it back to it's original speed is to turn the phone off (something I have to do with worrying frequency!). So, does anyone out there know of any free task managers that will help me overcome this problem? Not after anything fancy, just something that will allow me to close applications properly. Free would be ideal, although I don't mind paying a smal fee if it's worth it. Thanks in advce guys (and girls!)
Guest madbandit Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 try binary's smartphone task manager. Binary's Task Manager they would like you to register for $4.99, so about £2.50 - £3.00. but if i remember rightly you can use it without registering.
Guest mstephenson Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Cheers for that madbandit, i'll check it out in a bit. If it's a decent product and I start to use it regularly I'll just pay the £3, don't mind paying a good price for good software! Thanks again
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 It's one of the main Smartphone applications I always use, well worth the money. Also take a look at Smart Explorer nice file manager app I use as well.
Guest genaldar Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 There both great apps. You may also want to check out Oxios Memory (http://www.oxios.com/memory/). It has hibernate and close app, and is free.
