Guest Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Has anyone else had this happen to them? I have several day long appointment/events and under my previous M3100 the reminders occured during the previous day as they were set up. I normally have a half day reminder period. I had to have my original M3100 replaced and since then occasionaly this M3100 will trigger reminders for day long events at midnight. At that point - once I've woken up ;) - I can't dismiss the event or switch to anything else. The only thing left is to remove the battery and restart the device. Sometimes once the device restarts the original day long event reappears to be dismissed and then is immediately followed by several other events. I'm getting a little tired of the midnight wake ups... Has anyone else encountered this and if they have has any one else got a solution? I'm tempted to think that the problem relates to the replacement device and I'll probably need to get yet another replacement. Thanks in advance.
Guest Rockketman Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 I get the same midnight alarms for all day appointments. Help!! I am also having problems with my Profiles not changing automatically based on my scheduled meetings. Can anyone help?? Thanks!
Guest magic_peanuts Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Surely when you set the alarm you manually set the reminder period to 12 hours rather than the default of none? Apologies if I've over simplified this.

Apologies if I've over simplified this. The problem comes about when you have something you put in an appointment like: "Car tax runs out" and you want to put a reminder in for let's say a week before. What happens then, is that you get a reminder at midnight 7 days before. If you do this for birthdays, TV license, etc etc, all things where you want to give yourself a bit of time to deal with the event, and you can see that your other half will be quite annoyed at all these midnight chirps from your device. I was just hoping that someone knew of a way of changing the default alarm time, after all, who dreamt midnight up? Obviously, for short term reminders it's easy to just put in 8 hours or whatever.
Guest FORCEFOXFIVE Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 I have seen a similar problem solved by Moderator Gears, over on CoolSmartPhone.com. I have looked for the link but couldnt find it  . It involved creating a new profile which is set to have no ring tones/alerts which is set to your normal sleeping hours. All you have to do is to remember to set you phone to 'Automatic' to switch between profiles. I hope that makes sense. :P
Guest FerretAD Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 (edited) I think this problem still exists in WM6 - I'll test it tonight, and let you know tomorrow. -=EDIT=- In fact, I just tried to add an all day reminder for tomorrow, and set "All Day: Yes", but below that is an option for "Reminder:" the default is set to "Remind Me", but i've set it to "None" - So inthoery it shouldn't go off at midnight !
