HOW DO I GET EMAIL ATTACHMENTS TO SAVE TO MY STORAGE CARD???

Hi - I've still not received an answer to this - surely SOMEONE can help!?!

This is really bugging me and also seems to be slowing my Vario II down...

I wanted to get my POP3 Yahoo email attachments to save to my (rather tasty) 2gb storage card. I downloaded Paul's free .cab file but it doesn't seem to actually work for me, for some reason. Now I find my attachments are saving to small capacity 'Extended_Rom' (which I had unlocked, out of curiousity as much as anything... perhaps this is the problem?).

So, can I either:

a) somehow set my attachments to save to my actual micro-sd card? OR

increase the size of the Extended Rom?

As you may be able to tell, I'm not a techie so if anyone can help I would appreciate the answer spelt out very clearly - thanks!

Hi Chris,

Firstly is your mail still on the Yahoo server?

If not or you're not sure then forward any mail you want to keep to another email address, you can always open another Yahoo account temporarily

Now to delete the Yahoo account on your phone:

Open messaging, Menu>Tools>Options

Tap and hlod on your Yahoo account, Delete

This will remove all mails and attachments from their current (wrong) locations

Next uninstall the cab you tried and Soft-reset

Now set up your Yahoo account on the Phone again

When it asks you 'would you like to download messages to your device now?' click no

Still in messaging tap:

Menu>Tools>Options

Select the 'Storage' tab and tick 'Store attachments on storage card'

Now you can send/receive and download your emails to your phone again, and all the attachments will now be stored on your card

If nothing comes through then you know your mails weren't stored on the server, if this is the case you will need to forward them to your phone from the temp acount you set up earlier

Done!!
