sat nav and hands free

Hi there, I'm a little confused as to my options. Now the law has changed it's time to go hands free and I have been putting off sat nav for some time. I need a cradle for the sat nav but also want hands free without a headset just loudspeaker I'm not sure which if any would go on bluetooth, and i think the two wouldn't be hardwired any ideas I'm sure most that run sat nav have got hands free..
