Guest xeron Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 (edited) I had the problem with vista (I'm running 64bit) where the storage card wouldn't show in WMP (on the PC) so I could sync my DRMed ;) music, only the internal memory which has about 10MB free :D Just found that if you go to Settings, Connections, USB to PC (on the PocketPC) and turn off the advanced network functionality, the storage card is available again. Guess its a problem in the TCP style sync driver that isn't in the old PPP style driver. This is with an Orange SPV M3100. Let me know whether it works for you! Edited February 27, 2007 by xeron
Guest bennish Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 oh THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU! Fantastic... solved the problem instantly!! So what's this advanced networking for? Do i lose anything by unticking it?
Guest jimbouk Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 MS are allegedly bringing out a fix for the RNDIS media syncing problem (ie using the advanced network functionality) - only problem is they said it would be out by late Feb...
Guest bugmenot2 Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 OK I disable the advanced networking functionality, my storage card finally shows up in WMP under Vista. Drag a playlist from itunes into media player (phew at least that works), tell it to sync and Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... takes a very long time. 4-5 hours to sync ~1gb of mp3s. Either I've overlooked something really obvious or something is really wrong with my setup.
Guest ataru Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 GENIUS!!! Thanks for this... it also sorted the same issue with my HTC S620 (excalibur)!!!! ;) Ta J

Yes! MS has released a hotfix, which you can download here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931621/ Thanks for giving me an idea of what to look for! Edited March 25, 2007 by Jeff Day
