Guest dewdman42 Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 I already know there are several alternative media players which handle AAC. However, what I can't figure out how to do is configure my WM5 smartphone(Blackjack) so that streaming links in IE will launch the other player instead of WMP. How can I make a different media player the default media player? I bought pocketstreamer, which is a bit dissappointing on a number of fronts, but one thing is it launches Media Player, which does not support AAC and many of my favorite streams are AAC. The other thing is that WMP appears to be the only media player that will mute itself when a call comes in. So another question is, does anyone know if there is any possible way to play AAC through WMP?

Use a filemanager program (avaliabe from the downloads section) and check the file assosiations with that ;)
