Guest akki007 Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Please help me! My Virgin Lobster screen just went white. Taking the battery out does nothing. Does anybody know how to extract phone numbers from the Lobster?!?! It won't synch to Active Synch. I dont want to hard reset it as I will lose all the numbers! (I dont even know how to hard reset it!) This is not good.
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Offhand I'm not sure how to hard reset either (must put that on my to-do list) From what you are saying the memory has become corrupt somehow, but if it stuck like this and will not reboot apart from the white screen a hard reset would be the only option. There would be no way to recover your telephone numbers unless the phone reboots properly. Have you tried to install some software or removed the battery suddenly for this to happen?

Thanks for the fast reply. I was sitting at my desk in work, typing away and I noticed my phone light up. Looked over at it and it's all white! Wouldnt turn off, so took battery out and back in again and now it's just white all the time. If I leave the battery to run down, will it magically reset itself?! Or, If I can somehow get it to connect to activesynch? (I know, it's not possible but I need my numbers!)
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Don't let the battery run down otherwise you may struggle to recharge it without making up a lead to jump start the battery. Without the OS running it will be impossible to connect it to Activesync, this is one reason why we always suggest people install and use Outlook to sync and backup their contact list.
