Just a little Problem

Hiya,

I bought 12months version of Xbox live yesterday after having using 1months free trial followed by 48hour trials, but Me and my friend can't engage in a private chat or play games e.g Pro Evo & Test Drive Unlimited though we've bothed played these games and had private chats with other people, so we are a bit confused at why we can't with each other. We tried to ring Microsoft today but it's a maintainance day so will have to try again tomorrow.

Any Ideas of how to resolve these problems on our own.
