Guest Paul (MVP) Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 Regulars will know that i'm a Newsgator Go! fan myself (due to the online / feeddemon sync)... but nonetheless i'm writing to report that popular RSS readers A6 Times and pRSSReader have just been updated.A6 Times now sits at version 1.2, which adds a whole host of new features... most significantly enclosure (i.e. Podcast) support. The excellent UI also gets some tweaks... if you've not checked A6 Times out before, it's worth a trial download to experience the unique 'newspaper style' presentation. A6 Times is available for Pocket PC and Smartphone at the Alien6 Technologies homepage. A6 Times retails at $19.95 after expiry of the 14 day trial.pRSSReader has been updated to version 1.3.3, which also adds a whole bunch of new features. You can see what's included in the latest update by viewing the ChangeLog and download the application from the pRSSreader page. One of my favourite things about pRSSreader is that it's FREE! ;) Enjoy... and don't forget to add the MoDaCo News RSS feed and the MoDaCo Topics RSS feed to your reader of choice :D P
Guest notnoisy Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 too bad pRSSReader is not for Windows Mobile smartphones.
Guest WILBUR Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 (edited) I've just installed the pRSS reader update... but I can't import opml files or add channels any other way apart from manually typing in the site url. It appears to recognise the OPML file, and lists the content, but when i click "add" it just goes back to the channel manager screen only showing "David's Web Log". The same thing happens if you try to add a channel following a search. I've reinstalled it twice now, but still no joy... is this just me? Edited March 6, 2007 by WILBUR

The same thing happens if you try to add a channel following a search. I've reinstalled it twice now, but still no joy... is this just me? I clicked the OK button on the top right instead, and it worked fine. Unfortunately, however, if I activate the Today plugin, my MDA won't automatically shut itself off after the preset period of time of disuse, and the battery will run out in about two hours.
