Please help me guys, i'm about to chuck my M3100 out the window. Orange are stuck (and claim it's my router), and there's nothing on the MS Website.

I'm trying to connect my phone to wi-fi. But even though I have GPRS, and the internet is fine, the moment I connect via Wi-Fi, it will connect, accept the Network Key, light up as connected... but....

whenever I try to connect to a page, it says "The page cannot be found. Check the name and try again"....

I KNOW it's a setting on the phone. I just can't work out what.

I've tried on 4 different hotspots. My home wifi network is working fine with the computer. I'm now completely stuck.

I'd be really grateful if anyone can work out what i'm doing wrong!

hi onsomething.

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do - it seems as if you're trying to connect your M3100 to your home wireless router which is an Orange Live box - right?

If that's the case I'd suggest checking the following;

1. Make sure that you really have got the exact/correct security key. For some reason it's been my experience that WM5 (and Windows in general) will sometimes give you a very very limited connection to a wireless access point even if the security key is incorrect. It doesn't go as far as providing real connectivity though.

2. Check the access provided by the LiveBox. Most routers allow you to set which devices are allowed to connect to the internet even if they allow the device to connect to it and "see" the internet. You might need to provide a device name, and/or a MAC address for your device.

3. Make sure that you start the wifi connection and connect BEFORE you start pocket IE. If necessary make sure that you shut down IE. I've noticed that pocket IE tends to ignore wifi connections which are started after it has.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
