Guest OzzMosiz Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Hi all, Hope someone can help. I have a Mitac Mio PocketPC with GPS, that I no longer use (got the SPV M700), but I want to get it fixed. The charger port is damaged and will need a new connection added. Anyone know where I can it fixed?
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 I was hoping you'd get an informed reply to this but my suggestion is to try Carphone Warehouse. The reason is that they are the recognised service centres for HTC phones in this country. Is the Mitac an HTC-made phone ?
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Mitac is Mitac, they make the phone but other companies like Medion etc rebadge them. I'll see if I can get some information for you, but may take a few days. Chances are it will be in europe somewhere and not the UK.
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Have you tried the Mio website? http://www.mio-tech.be/en/support/support-overview.php The site gives the following information, telephone Number 0905-4640010 (0.35 £ / Min.) Our support center is available from 09.00am to 06.00pm (CET) on working days. Edit After talking to the contact at Mio I've been told the following, Normally the end-user has to return to device to his point of sale. Should that not be possible, the end-user can apply for an RMA (reparation procedure) directly at our side on our website. http://www.mio-tech.be/en/support/C710-support-overview.php
