active sync problem

i have various folders setup under inbox - eg. - tel messages

i have a rule setup when messages contining tele go in to this folder.

in active sync i have added the folder to sync with the phone.

the problem is that though the emails are sent to the phone, they do not get displayed as a new email (i.e. no notification on the home screen / no sound notification) is there a way to fix this
