MDA Vario to work with mini 2gb SD

Hi,

I have MDA Vario device (q-tek 9100) and i used it with 256 SDmini card. Recently i bought SDmini card 2gb, but i have problem getting it to work with my MDA. It does not reckognize it (i even tried Flash Format app, but simply i wait and wait while he searches for device). When inserted in PC via mini SD adapter and card reader, it works fine, i got it formatted, file copy etc. but when i insert it in MDA it freezes like "searching" it. I believe the card is Super Talent make, (came in the package inscribed with it) but card have no logo on itself.

I managed to fool it creating DCIM folder on it, and in it subfolder with some photos... MDA reckognized it after insrtion as a photo card and offered me to view pictures, but when i try to view them, it "searches" and show nothing...

Also when connected MDA through PC, when looking at mobile device folders i see Storage Card folder when card is inserted (yet not reckognised) and I can see folders inside, but not files! Nor I can put files on it that way.

It seems to me like some strange formatting issue or so...

Is there any hint, maybe i must specially format it or what, or there is a grief chance that the card is not compatible with my MDA ?

Thanks,

Nenad

Try formatting it with this while in your card reader. It is the official formatting program from SDcard.org's website.

Thanks a lot, quite nice tool! But did not solved the problem. I am going to complain to seller and gonna change it for another SD card.

Is it maybe better to pick smaller SD mini card (1 gb?)

Tnx,

Nenad

Your MDA Vario should easily work with a 2 GB card. I have the very same phone and I have both a 2 GB and also the very controversial 4 GB miniSD card and both work in my phone. You may just have a bad card.
