Guest nisarg Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 (edited) Hey, as far as i know Vario II will play WMV (may be a couple more too, not sure). But it wont play MPEG. You will need a 3rd party player. Something like Pictpocket Cinema. It can play almost everything you can throw at it. I have seen some issues with .mov files though, where it didnt play a certain few of them (not sure why). But theres is a converter that comes in handy for those times. But it should play MPEGs out of the box! Ive got a few vids ive tried to put on my Vario 2. They are mpegs, what formats will the vario 2 play? Will it play mpegs? Guest pd.ryder Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 What a shame TCPMP became sooo expensive. Did I also hear that TCPMP and the Vario II didn't get along? Sure I heard there were some compatibility issues so even buying it was a no-go option for VII owners. I'd had that player on every Smartphone I've owned over the years and never found anything it couldn't play.
Guest pd.ryder Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Just as a test I ActiveSync'd an mpeg movie onto the VII yesterday. It's 190Mb took a while due to lots of 'converting' process, but it is indeed now viewable within WMP. The file types WMP will handle are all listed in the manual. Mpg/mpeg isn't one of them: Video - wmv, asf, mp4, 3gp, avi, 3g2 Audio - wma, mp3, mid, midi, rmi, amr, awb, m4a (aac) and gcp ;)
