Guest goochy1 Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 (edited) Hiya Guys, I've been experiencing a couple of problems online whilst playing Test Drive Unlimited ( TDU ) so i phoned microsoft up on their customer support line ( in the back of the manual ) they were quite helpful and the end result was my ROUTER isn't sufficiently compatable. I'm on BT. Anyone ever heard of this problem before?? Also they said that i could find a list of compatable routers on their website, i only found a couple so if any sees it could they post a link please....If i were to change my router, would it effect my Internet ( BT Voyager 205 ADSL Router ) is my current router. Would be grateful of any responses Cheers Goochy1 Edited May 2, 2007 by goochy1
Guest Alex (nedge2k) Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 I would check your port forwarding: http://portforward.com. Oh and make sure uPnP is turned on. (You shouldn't need to forward ports manually if it is)
Guest goochy1 Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 (edited) Thankyou Alex Edited April 9, 2007 by goochy1
Guest goochy1 Posted April 9, 2007 Report Posted April 9, 2007 Update:: I've rang Microsoft up Again, and they've said this time that i need to contact my provider ( BT ) at that i need to ask them to Open the following ports: UDP 88 UDP 3074 TCP 3074 These mean nothing to me so do you reckon it'll have some success? Now they'll be restricted so i need them opening.

If you dont know what your doing it may not be the best idea to change the settings though. To access the settings pages get the default gateway of your network card and browse to that address in internet explorer. These addresses are usually http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1

Guest goochy1 Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Just got off the phone with BT...well that was certainly...interesting..! You were right in saying IP address...she told me exactly what to put in apart from the last box and when i said is that so i should press apply she didn't answer and started saying Goodbye so she hung up...afterwards i pressed apply...and yess guess what...FAILED I highly doubt this is gonna work. I know exactly what she said to do so i'll try again later...and take screenshots and if any of you guys could tell that something is going wrong you could let me now. Thankyou
