Guest dbrad Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 I use my phone to synchronize my outlook calendar and contacts on my work desktop with my home desktop- I'm very frustrated to find that having upgraded from Activsync 4.1 to 4.5, it appears to not allow synchronizing with more than one computer. It needed to delete one of the computers' profiles, and now threatens to wipe out all the calander and contact items in the phone if I want to set up a relationship with the updated computer. Should I proceed to do what it says; wipe out my calander and contacts and hope that it will conntinue to allow me to synchronize with both computers once I complete the process, or go back to the earlier version of ActiveSync? Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 You get the option to sync with 1 or 2 computers when you set up a new partnership. It is a pain but I would recommend combining items on the device with those on the PC and then prune out any duplicates - another AS annoyance ;)
Guest Monolithix (MVP) Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Doesn't Activesync on your phone explicitly say it WONT delete your contacts and calendar?
