Guest oh_do_shutup Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Hello guys, I have been the proud owner of a Vario II for the past few weeks and I think its a fantastic device. However, over the past few days I have been driven insane by activesync and its inability to sync with my device. For the past few weeks, it has been working fine, I have installed programs through activesync on my main computer using the usb cable. However, a few days ago, it suddenly decided to stop working. For starters, the usb cable works, because I have an mp3 player that utilises the same type to charge and access the files on it. The Vario II is charged by this cable when plugged in, but does is not detected by the computer. Next, I have resorted to hard resetting it, twice, but this has done nothing.It is still not detected. I have changed the settings from usb to pc back and forth. I then tried to sync it via bluetooth, but this has not worked at all. (it is detected, but no sync) I then uninstalled active sync , deleted and registry etc multiple times but still nothing. I then decided to install it on my laptop, plugged the usb cable into all the different usb slots and still nothing. Then tried to bluetooth sync and that also didn't work (its bluesoleil software). I have completely run out of options now. I don't think its the usb slot on the phone as its still charging, but its also not the cable or both computers. Hard resetting didn't work and I don't remember doing anything that could have screwed it up. Can anybody help me? Cheers Jez
Guest oh_do_shutup Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Hurrah. As a last ditch attempt to sync from my computer using bluetooth, it was finally recognised! I'll just use bluetooth from now on and get rid of the cable.
