problems with file extentions

Hello all! Let me start by saying sorry if this has been covered in another post. I did search around a bit first and didn't find anything. My problem is with downloading files. I have a T-Mobile Dash phone with windows mobile 5. I really want to get NES or SNES for it, but its been a bit of a nightmare! When I try to download the files I get an error message saying "the file cannot be viewed on the device". I saw this message before when trying to download a .mpg file as windows media player doesn't support them. after I installed Pocket TV it fixed the problem. So naturally I went and got Smartzip. This however did not work. I still cannot download .zip files! seems kinda stupid that I cannot download whatever I want as long as I have memory to receive it!!! Or is it just me that is being stupid? Is there some phone setting I am missing, or maybe a third party app I need? Please help as I am now frustrated and clueless!

Have you tried opening the zip from Smartzip itself? Or of course you could just unzip the files on your PC first...
