Guest Hardz Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 The madbeetle homescreen builder (free program) claims that XML knowledge is not needed and a great screen shot is on their website. I downloaded and opened the rar file, and have no idea how to begin. How do I open this program ? Are there also better or easier programs to build homescreens in a WYSIWYG format ? Thanks
Guest Hardz Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Wow, so nobody has used this program ? Any help world be great ....please
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 Hi there ;) I tried the old version of madbeetle homescreen builder for my C550 (QVGA) animation. Its easy to use. The HS builder supports standard plugins if you wish not to include animation on your creation. When you launch the main EXE, choose the target device HS size first (240x320, 240x240 etc) then target OS (WM5, WM6) then finally assign a name to your homescreen. Next thing to do is look for a background image to use, assign a color scheme (using the new version) then think of the plugins you wish included on your homescreen. For instance if you wish to include Calendar, then tick the Calendar box, position to desired location (drag), assign font size, weight and color. You can add other plugins depending on your design. http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/370/snap226mz8.jpg Save work as XML file or make a CAB file out of it. For tips on making animated HS, you can read the help file included on the RAR archive (in HTML) As for other WYSIWYG HS builder, try Ruttensoft Homescreen Designer http://www.ruttensoft.com/Products/Homescr...57/Default.aspx
